Alabama Slammer (Serves 4).
Although no one knows the origin of this drink, it is still considered one of the finest shots in the world. According to one story, it was invented at the University of Alabama in 1975 as a South’s answer for the Long Island Iced Tea. Similar to Long Island Iced Tea it is delicious and has a loyal following. This is a must-know for bartenders in the United States.
Serve in a Shot Glass
- 1/2 shot amaretto
- 1/2 shot of sloe Gin
- 1/2 shot Southern Comfort
- 1 1/2 shots orange juice

B-52
The B52 shot, a pousse café shot recipe, is very popular in France. It can only be lit on fire if a triple sec with a high alcohol content, such as Cointreau , is used. It must be poured at room temperatures. It’s not easy to do so make sure you practice before you try!
It tastes fantastic, despite being a big shot. You can also experiment with the triple sec. Grand Marnier is another popular option.
Serve in a Shot Glass
- 1/3 shot Kahlua coffee liqueur
- 1/3 shot Bailey’s Irish Cream
- 1/3 shot triple sec
Layer in the order listed above in a shotglass. Optional: Light on fire
Blowjob
These shots won’t be made in high-end bars or clubs, but the blowjob shot is a great choice for bars and pubs.
You should drink it with your hands behind your head so that your lips don’t touch the glass. It’s a mystery to me why this is so.
Serve in a Shot Glass
- 1/2 shot Kahlua
- 1/2 shot Bailey’s Irish Cream
- Serve with whipped cream
Layer according to the instructions in a shotglass. When they’shoot it, instruct the drinker not to touch their face.
Boilermaker
The Boilermaker, also known as “a shot and beer”, is not your typical shooter. It actually comes with a pint beer! It’s a very popular recipe and was one of the first to be made.
Serve in 1 Shot Glass & 1 Pint Glass
- 1 shot whisk(ey)
- 1 pint of Lager
Divide into separate glasses. Instruction the drinker to pour the whiskey into the pint and then chug.
Brain Damage/Hemorrhage Shot
The brain injury shot is a great shot to kill brain cells. It’s also known as the brain hemorhage shot. It looks just like brains and blood when done properly. It doesn’t taste bad, either.
Serve in a 1 Shot Glass
- 0.66oz (20ml) Archer’s Peach Schnapps
- 0.33oz (10ml) Bailey’s Irish Cream
- 2-3 drops of grenadine
The peach schnapps should be poured into the shot glasses. Add the Bailey’s to the shot glass by slowly pouring it onto a spoon. To create the gory brainy look, drop the grenadine from several inches high.
Cement Mixer
It is important to emphasize that you do not order a cement mix shot for the taste. It’s made with Irish cream and lime juice, which are designed to make the drinker miserable.
This drink is meant to be mixed in your mouth before you swallow it. The lime cordial and Irish cream will react to create a curdle. It quickly becomes a cement-like sensation in your mouth. This is hilarious, but not the best experience.
Serve in a Shot Glass
- 1/2 shot Irish cream
- 1/2 shot lime cordial
Layer carefully in a shotglass in the order indicated above. The drinker should mix the drink for 10 seconds in their mouth before swallowing. Enjoy watching!
Flatliner
This shot is fantastic and you will have lots of fun. Tabasco sauce adds heat to the mixture and is a great way to make it more interesting. Remember that hotter sauces are more dangerous than milder ones.
Hint – This shot is great for when you’re introducing a new bartender.
Serve in a Shot Glass
- 1/2 shot Sambuca
- 1/2 shot of tequila
- 4-7 drops Tabasco sauce
