Similar to knowing a few most popular shot recipes for this year it’s also helpful to know great-tasting mocktail recipe. Some people won’t want to drink alcohol, but others will. You don’t have to give alcohol-loving guests the same care and attention as you give alcohol-consuming ones. Hospitable is about.
Bar programs often overlook non-alcoholic beverages. Here are ten delicious mocktail recipes that will get your creativity flowing. While some of these recipes may be more intriguing than others, they often require more exotic ingredients.
These recipes can be made in most bars that offer basic cocktails to make them as easy as possible. We’ll be covering the following:
- Atlantis
- Berry Crush
- Lemon, Lime & Bitters
- Mockito (Virgin Mojito)
- Pineapple Ginger Beer
- Pussy Foot
- Shirley Temple
- St Kitts
- Virgin Paloma
- Virgin Sour
Remember that mocktail recipes often use alcohol to substitute for fruit juice or more fruit. Fresh ingredients are key to great tasting mocktails.
Note Most most popular cocktails can also be made into mocktails, particularly those that use white spirits as the base ingredient. These cocktails can be made by substituting the white spirit with a subtle tasting liquid, such as cloudy apple juice, or the liqueur for a similar sugar in equal amounts. Although it won’t taste the same as the original, this trick is great to have on hand in case you forget your bar mocktail recipes or have a customer who needs something. This is how you’ll see it in action. Check out the Mockito recipe.
Atlantis
This is one the best mocktails I have ever tried. It is balanced and complex. The interesting ingredients used make it a drink that even the most sophisticated of mocktail drinkers can enjoy. Watermelon isn’t something that is often used in bar programs. It doesn’t make any sense to stock it for this drink as it is unlikely that it will be ordered frequently enough. If your bar already uses watermelon, you should add it to your list. It’s amazing!
Serve in a Collins Glass
- 4 watermelon chunks
- 4 mint leaves
- 1/2 shot of fresh lime juice
- 1/4 shot elderflower syrup
- 1 shot cloudy apple juice
- Serve with ginger beer
- 1 mint sprig, 1 lime wedge as garnish
Mix watermelon chunks and mint leaves in the Boston. Add juice and syrup. Combine the ingredients and shake. Garnish with ginger beer. Add the garnishes.
Berry Crush
Another great mocktail recipe, this one was extremely popular at the bar I used to work at. The only problem with this drink, like the Atlantis is the need to have mixed berries on hand.
Serve in a Collins Glass
- 1 teaspoon mixed berries
- 2 shots of cranberry juice
- 1/2 shot of fresh lime juice
- 1/4 shot strawberry syrup
- Serve with club soda
- Garnish with 1/2 strawberry
Mix berries together in a Boston. Add juice and syrup. Mix well and pour into an insulated glass. Add the soda. Garnish with the garnish
Lemon, Lime & Bitters
Although technically it is not a mocktail, it does contain bitters that are alcohol-free. However, it has a very low alcoholic content, so it doesn’t count. This is a simple drink that you can make and it’s great to keep in your arsenal. It’s a very popular mocktail in Australia.
Serve in a Highball Glass
- 1/2 shot lime cordial
- Serve with Sprite
- 3 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 wedge of lemon for garnish
To an ice-filled highball glasses, add sprite. Add lime cordial to the top. Mix 3 tablespoons Angostura bitters. Add the garnish.
Mockito (Virgin Mojito)
Mojitos are one of the most loved cocktails so it is logical to learn how to make non-alcoholic versions. The virgin mojito is made using cloudy apple juice instead of rum. This substitution works for all versions of the mojito. To make a virgin strawberry mojito you would substitute the rum for cloudy apple juice. If it had strawberry liqueur you would substitute the ginger liqueur for strawberry syrup.
Serve in a Collins Glass
- 3-4 lime wedges
- 6-8 fresh mint leaves
- 2 shots of cloudy apple juice
- 2 teaspoons granulated Sugar
- Serve with club soda
- Garnish with 2-3 mint sprigs
Mix the lime wedges and granulated sugar together in a collins cup. Add the mint leaves to the glass along with the cloudy cider juice. Add crushed ice to the glass and stir well. To make it more visually appealing, you can scatter the mint leaves throughout the glass. Add soda water. Add crushed ice to the crown. As garnish, place the mint sprigs in your hands.
Pineapple Ginger Beer
This refreshing and non-boozy version of the Dark ‘n Stormy cocktail is refreshing. This replaces the rum by pineapple juice and adds some ginger syrup. This is another great mocktail recipe that you can add to your collection because it uses common ingredients.
Serve in a Collins Glass
- 1 1/2 shots of pineapple juice
- 1 shot of fresh lime juice
- 1 shot ginger syrup
- Serve with ginger beer
- 1 lime wedge as garnish
